The Forum that brings together key actors of global health

Together, let’s build solutions for the future of global health!

The Geneva Health Forum (GHF) is the forum that brings together key actors to help find solutions to global health challenges. Created in 2006, it is organised by the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) and the University of Geneva in partnership with 30 global health organisations, with the overall goal to contribute to improving health and care access in the world.

As the complexity of global health challenges is growing, answering to those challenges requires a multidisciplinary approach as well as being able to bring innovative solutions. Building on the dynamic of International Geneva, where it is located, the Geneva Health Forum provides a continuous platform for collaboration and organises one of the most important international conferences on global health every two years.

In between the large conferences, the Geneva Health Forum aims at fostering cooperation among global health actors. It does so by facilitating the setting-up of multi-stakeholder working groups that it accompanies in order to help them find innovative solutions to global health challenges. These working groups result in scientific publications and, when the results are of general interest, in public events.

It also does so by offering access to a broad network of global health actors. The GHF conference gathers more than 1600 participants from all sectors - field practitioners, academics, professionals from public and private sector, policy-makers, international and non-governmental organizations. It also gathers a network of actors active in the innovation field from the Health Valley and beyond.

The GHF will build on its experience and offer a continuous platform for networking in global health. It is coming soon, be sure to stay tuned!

To achieve this goal, the Geneva Health Forum aims to:

  • Facilitate the elaboration of solutions to global health challenges by fostering cooperation among multiple stakeholders
  • Give visibility to challenges encountered by actors from the field as well as to innovative solutions they have developed
  • Facilitate the exchange of good practices
  • Give visibility to innovative solutions to global health challenges
