June 17, 2026

09:00 - 18:00

Presentation

Geneva addictions and global healFor its 30th edition, the Geneva Addictology Day draws on decades of expertise from the Addiction Service of the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) to address current and future challenges—both local and global—in the field of addiction medicine.

This event also celebrates two flagship initiatives led by the Addiction Service:

  • 28 years of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Training in Mental Health, continuously active and WHO-accredited since 1998. This center plays a key role in global and policy issues related to substance and behavioral addictions.
  • 20 years of the ReConnecte program, a pioneer in Switzerland since 2006 in the field of behavioral addictions. ReConnecte has become a reference center for cantonal and federal authorities on mental health challenges related to technology use.
  • The exchanges and presentations, in French and English (without translation), will bring together local and international experts. Together, they will share evidence-based data, best practices, and innovative perspectives to address emerging challenges—whether in public policy, therapeutic innovation, or international partnerships.
