Since 2023, the Geneva Health Forum (GHF) has been actively engaged in the World Health Assembly (WHA), contributing to dialogue among institutional stakeholders, academia and civil society on key global health challenges.

On the occasion of the May 2026 World Health Assembly, the Geneva Health Forum will host and support a series of events throughout the week:

  • Monday, 18 May: the Geneva Health Forum will facilitate the wrap-up seminar of the GRACE study, organised by the 4EU+ Alliance.
  • Tuesday, 19 May: in collaboration with its partners, the GHF will organise two sessions providing a platform for academic actors and civil society organisations to make their voices heard on key issues included in the World Health Assembly agenda.
  • Wednesday, 20 May: the Geneva Centre of Humanitarian Studies will host the official launch of the Lancet Commission Report on Health, Conflict and Forced Displacement.
  • Thursday, 21 May: the Geneva Digital Health Day will be organised under the leadership of the Geneva Digital Health Hub, highlighting advances and challenges in digital health.
  • Friday, 22 May: for the second consecutive year, the Geneva Health Forum will organise the public award ceremony of the Dr Lee Jong-wook Memorial Prize for Public Health.

In parallel, the GHF will organise four satellite symposiums in partnership with international organisations (dates to be confirmed).

In addition, the Geneva Health Forum and the Air Club will collaborate on a series of high-level international events aimed at placing indoor air quality on the global health agenda and accelerating the implementation of health-focused global policies. The May 2026 World Health Assembly, bringing together leading global health decision-makers, will provide a unique opportunity to advance this agenda (dates to be confirmed).

The full programme will be announced at the end of February, following the official publication of the World Health Assembly agenda
