What we do

Events

The GHF’s biennial conference explores a central theme over three days and fosters dialogue between practitioners and international global health organizations. It takes place in the autumn, preceded by a call for papers launched in February to broaden the diversity of speakers.

The GHF is present every year during World Health Assembly (WHA) week, where it organizes symposia and workshops, providing civil society and academia with a platform to voice their positions on the topics on the WHA agenda.

Throughout the year, the GHF offers targeted events in the form of panels, roundtables, seminars, and working groups. These may be initiated by the GHF or integrated into external initiatives. While primarily held in Geneva, some are relocated when needed.

The GHF also organizes sponsored events that allow external organizations to engage in dialogue with stakeholders in the health sector of International Geneva.

Networking

Opportunities are provided to members of the GHF Community to facilitate the exchange of experiences, identify synergies and encourage collaboration across specialties.

Communication

One of the main objectives of the GHF is to support the visibility of innovative actors in global health. GHF events and platforms are leveraged to showcase innovations, highlight perspectives from diverse actors, as well as success stories and lessons from the field.
